Condolence Meeting in Honor of His Holiness Pope Francis Held in New Delhi

New Delhi, 21st April 2025 – A Condolence Meeting in honor of His Holiness Pope Francis was held today at the Diocesan Community Centre (DCC), Sacred Heart Cathedral, in the heart of New Delhi. The event was organized by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) and Chavara Cultural Centre, Delhi, and was attended by a distinguished gathering of religious leaders, ambassadors, and dignitaries from across the globe.

The solemn meeting was a heartfelt tribute to Pope Francis, widely recognized as a true ambassador of peace, compassion, and interfaith unity. A significant moment of the evening came when nine religious leaders and nine ambassadors stood united on stage, reflecting the global impact of Pope Francis’s legacy. Their shared prayers, reflections, and messages resonated deeply with the values that Pope Francis lived by—love, humility, and global harmony.

Dr. Roby Kannamchirayil CMI, Director of Chavara Cultural Centre. “Pope Francis showed us the path of unity and compassion, transcending religious and cultural divides.
